Breast reduction, one of the breast surgery procedures we offer in San Francisco, can help patients who suffer from complications due to large breasts.

The breast reduction patient comes in with specific needs and complaints. Typically, a patient who has very large breasts will complain of posture problems, neck and back pain, shoulder pain, rashes underneath the breasts, in general just not feeling good about the size of their body and their breasts and of course because there a lot of medical problems this is also covered under insurance of most insurance plans because there is disability in having that excess weight. For breast reduction surgery, we do two techniques, one is a vertical incision and a central reduction and so you have a vertical line only and a line around the nipple-areola and we can generally remove a moderate amount of tissue there to maybe a large amount and then those who come in with very very heavy breasts, we use the standard technique of anchor incision or inverted T.
