Breast Augmentation

One type of breast surgery we offer from our San Francisco office is the breast augmentation, utilizing either saline or silicone implants to get beautiful results that will enhance confidence and impress peers.

We have women who come in for breast augmentation consultation. They generally are either one or two categories. One, women who have not had much in terms of their desired breast size from the beginning and then two, patients who have had children and have had breast-feeding and breast atrophy. The implants are one of two kinds that are available today. There is silicone and saline. Silicone is a solid-semisolid gel as put into the same container or bag, which is a silicone elastomer. The saline, it has the same bag but saltwater is put in there and saltwater is the same as water that's in a person’s body and so it is considered safe. What we do is, we place it generally underneath the muscle through an incision, either through the armpit, through the dark skin of the nipple, or lastly through the inferior fold.
