If you come in as a new consult and if you have never had surgery on the nose, I can tell you for certainty that there is a lot of predictability in the way I am going to see the revision rhinoplasty on the other hand and you know we get a very very detailed history to know what was done, how it was done, and how the healing process is going. We actually will request old operative reports if they are available and then we go over what can and cannot be done. The healing process is a little less predictable. What I find, I am sometimes surprised than what I see and that makes it more difficult to do surgery because you are cutting and doing surgery on scarred up areas and so it is not as easy. There is a worry about healing and how the changes that you make in a nose will turn out, but with experience and that is the key with revision rhinoplasty is experience, that I had extra training in rhinoplasty doing the fellowship in facial cosmetic surgery.
